What you actually do first
- Day 1: choose and observe — Choose and observe, day 1 · step 1 of 30 · 29 to go. Name the identity and behavior, then observe the current cue and context. Change exactly one variable so you can tell what caused the result.
- Day 2: choose and observe — Choose and observe, day 2 · step 2 of 30 · 28 to go. Name the identity and behavior, then observe the current cue and context. Shrink it until starting is almost embarrassing, then start.
- Day 3: choose and observe — Choose and observe, day 3 · step 3 of 30 · 27 to go. Name the identity and behavior, then observe the current cue and context. Attach it to something that already happens without effort.
- Day 4: make it obvious — Make it obvious, day 1 · step 4 of 30 · 26 to go. Change one cue, time, place, or environment signal. Remove one step between you and the behaviour.
- Day 5: make it obvious — Make it obvious, day 2 · step 5 of 30 · 25 to go. Change one cue, time, place, or environment signal. Make the evidence visible within a minute of finishing.
- Day 6: make it obvious — Make it obvious, day 3 · step 6 of 30 · 24 to go. Change one cue, time, place, or environment signal. Watch what the environment is doing that willpower keeps having to undo.
- Day 7: make it obvious — Make it obvious, day 4 · step 7 of 30 · 23 to go. Change one cue, time, place, or environment signal. Retire an experiment that is not working instead of trying harder at it.

When you miss
Use the miss as system feedback, reduce friction, and perform the smallest viable version next time.
Privacy and safety
Your proof, notes, conversations, and adaptation history stay private unless you deliberately share an action.
