What you actually do first

  1. Week 1: Safety and baseline — Learn the stop conditions, record relevant health guidance, and establish a comfortable baseline without breath retention or cold goals.
  2. Week 2: Consistency — Practice at the same calm time and place while keeping intensity deliberately low.
  3. Week 3: Relaxation under sensation — Notice tension early and exit cool exposure while breathing remains calm and controllable.
  4. Week 4: Recovery — Compare sleep, stress, soreness, and illness before deciding whether to practice or rest.
  5. Week 5: Focus — Use posture, an uncluttered environment, and one clear intention to reduce distraction.
  6. Week 6: Adaptability — Practice choosing a smaller version instead of treating more intensity as progress.
  7. Week 7: Energy — Track when the practice feels energizing, neutral, or depleting and adjust the time of day.

When you miss

Resume at the last comfortable level. Never compensate with longer breath holds, colder water, or extra exposure.

Privacy and safety

Your proof, notes, conversations, and adaptation history stay private unless you deliberately share an action.

Breath retention and cold exposure can be dangerous. Never practice in water, while driving, standing, or anywhere a loss of consciousness could cause harm. Skip cold exposure when unwell and get qualified medical guidance for cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, pregnancy, blood-pressure, fainting, or other relevant concerns.
